How It All Began

Veronica and John met in college during a math class that neither of them particularly enjoyed. While they didn’t talk much at first, there was an instant awareness of each other. Veronica vividly remembers the day John walked into the pizza place where she worked. She was excited, knowing instantly he was her type: tall, dark, handsome, and just the right amount of goofy. John felt the same way. He thought Veronica was beautiful and always hoped to talk to her, but they sat on opposite ends of the classroom, which made starting a conversation harder than it should have been. They had mutual friends, but it wasn’t until Veronica sent John a Twitter DM about a homework assignment that things really started. That one message led to casual conversations, which turned into library study sessions full of laughter. Not long after, they started spending more and more time together. By December 2014, they were officially a couple. John planned a holiday trip to New York City to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and asked Veronica to be his girlfriend. She said yes. After an amusing attempt to dine at the Four Seasons (which they quickly realized was out of budget), they ended up getting sushi, and still have the chopsticks from that night. Their relationship continued to grow through the years, filled with love, friendship, and their shared sense of humor. During the early days of the pandemic, Veronica moved in “just for a couple of weeks.” Those weeks turned into the life they now share in Stamford, CT, with their beloved dog Cashew who is, without a doubt, their pride and joy. In September 2023, during a trip to Puerto Rico, John proposed on a beautiful, quiet beach. It was thoughtful, romantic, and everything Veronica could’ve dreamed of. Now, they’re planning their wedding for May 30, 2026, and can’t wait to celebrate with all the people who’ve been part of their journey. Whether they’re traveling, trying new restaurants, walking Cashew, or watching Good Mythical Morning over dinner at the coffee table, Veronica and John are enjoying every moment of the life they've built together.

If you will be staying at Crowne Plaza for the weekend, we will be hosting relaxed welcome drinks at the hotel the night before the wedding. Join us for cocktails and light appetizers as we kick off the weekend together.
